AND THEN THERE WAS ONE: Two years after being picked for the panel, Kara DioGuardi will be replaced as an American Idol judge. The news broke late Friday in a joint announcement from Fox and DioGuardi, who was given an opportunity to bow out with a modicum of grace. "I felt like I won the lottery when I joined American Idol two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave Idol," she stated in the release. "I am very proud to have been associated with American Idol—it has truly been an amazing experience." The move leaves Randy Jackson as the lone holdover, with no replacements yet named. (9/7a)
