Rihanna's New Album

RIHANNA GETS LOUD: After wrapping up her SRO “Last Girl on Earth Tour” in Chicago last week, Def Jam/IDJ artist Rihanna will release her fifth studio album, Loud, on Nov. 16, which is being described as a “return to the uptempo dance grooves” that marked her early career. The first single, “Only Girl (in the World),” produced by the Norwegian team Stargate, goes to radio and clubs today. That collaboration has previously produced such hits as “Unfaithful,” “Don’t Stop the Music,” “Hate That I Love You” (featuring Ne-Yo), “Take a Bow,” and her most recent #1 global smash, “Rude Boy,” the fifth multi-platinum song of her career. The album follows last year’s Rated R and Rated R: Remix albums. (9/7p)
