Phoenix Goes Gold

PHOENIX BREAKS GLASS CEILING: Congrats to Daniel Glass and the gang at Glassnote Records, whose perseverance wins out as Phoenix’s Grammy-winning fourth album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, has been certified Gold by the RIAA for U.S. sales exceeding 500k. The band made history for an indie band by scoring two Top 10 Alternative radio hits in “1901” and “Lisztomania.” The group finished up a run of fall dates witha headlining show at the Hollywood Bowl on Sept. 18 and Madison Square Garden on Oct. 20. They’ll perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live Sept. 20. As Glass likes to say, “It’s a marathon, not a sprint.” (9/7p)
