THIS GLASSNOTE’S FOR YOU: After at least two smash alternative successes in Phoenix and Mumford & Sons, Daniel Glass’ Glassnote Records is at it again, inking Knoxville, TN-based band Royal Bangs, who are currently recording their new album for release next year. The band’s 2008 home-recorded and self-produced album We Breed Champions caught the attention of The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney, who re-issued the album in 2008 on his own Audio Eagle Records. The band then recorded and released 2009’s Let It Beep at Carney’s studio in Akron, OH, to critical acclaim. Look for them to play at N.Y.’s CMJ Music Marathon next month. (9/15p)
