FOLLOWING THE SCRIP: Spotify is about to hit 10 million users, and one in 20 of them—yup, that would be 500k—are paying 10 euros a month (or the British-pound equivalent) for the premium subscription version, Digital Music News noted. It isn’t known how many of those other 9.5 million have opted for the more limited, 5 euro-per-month access plan. The service, now available in seven European territories, boasts north of 10 million songs and carries a valuation of #300 million. Spotify top dog Daniel Ek will throw a party in London later this month to toast its milestone. (9/16a)
