DUELLING DIVAS: Lady Gaga and Katy Perry lead the field with five nominations apiece for the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards Nov. 7 in Madrid. The pop divas go head-to-head in four separate categories—Best Pop Act, Best Song, Best Female Act and Best Video. Eminem has four nominations, including Best Song, Best Male Act, Best Hip-Hop and Best Video. U.S. Best Rock Video winners Thirty Seconds to Mars go up against Muse, Linkin Park, Kings of Leon and Ozzy Osbourne in the U.K. rock category. TSTM’s “Kings and Queens,” is also up for Best Video with Perry, Gaga, Eminem and Plan B as well as Best World Stage Performance vs. Muse, Tokio Hotel, Gorillaz, Perry and Green Day. Best New Artist nominees are Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, B.o.B, Plan B and Jason Derulo. Perry and Linkin Park are confirmed to perform at the televised event. (9/20a)
