Ringing in the New Year

VIVA LA VIDA IN LAS VEGAS: Look for Jay-Z and Coldplay to co-headline New Year's Eve at the much-ballyhooed opening of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on New Year's Eve, according to the N.Y. Post's Page Six. The band's Chris Martin recently joined Jay-Z on-stage during his concert at Yankee Stadium with Eminem last week. The invite-only event, masterminded by party planner Colin Cowie, will see the hip-hop icon and the U.K. band perform separately and then together. The item goes on to say that "Beyoncé is now looking for a Vegas New Year's gig so she will be in town with Jay." (9/20a)
