Glass Notes Another Hit

GLASS CEILING: Just in time to run this year’s New York Marathon, Glassnote Records boss Daniel Glass celebrates his second #1 Alternative single in Mumford & Sons’ “Little Lion Man,” better known as the “I fucked it up this time” song. That follows the success of Phoenix’s “1901,” which also nabbed the top spot on the Alt Rock charts earlier this year, marking the first time an indie label has accomplished the feat of having two #1 singles at the format. Said Glass: “Nick Petropoulos and the RED Promotion Team are doing an outstanding job with their commitment to breaking this unique artist.” Look for Grammy love for the London folk-rock-country group who’ve been steadily moving up the charts when the nominations come out later this year.
