DOUBLING DOWN? Neil Portnow is trying to renegotiate his contract and double his salary, the N.Y. Post reports. The NARAS chief is looking to boost his annual salary to $2 million, according to several sources familiar with discussions. The last contract he signed in September 2007 expires next year. Even at two large, Portnow comes cheap compared to his predecessor Mike Greene, especially when you add in the legal fees that were racked up as the Academy defended various lawsuits. (9/30a)
