MOTTOLA TELLS ALL: Ex-Sony Music head Tommy Mottola has inked a deal to write his autobiography, The Last Starmaker, which will be put out by Grand Central Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group USA. N.Y. Post’s Page Six says the book will come out in early 2012. In it, Mottola will reveal how Walter Yetnikoff brought him to CBS Records, only to end up taking his job after the veteran exec self-destructed. Yetnikoff trashed Tommy in his 2004 memoir, Howling at the Moon. The autobiography will also detail Mottola’s relationship with ex-wife Mariah Carey, how he signed Shakira, Beyonce, Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez and how he strong-armed the Grammys into booking Ricky Martin by threatening to pull all his artists from the telecast.
