MTVN has big Sept.

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK: MTV Networks tallied 60.7 million unique visitors for September, up 14% from August, and a stunning 152% year-over-year lift, Digital Music News reports, citing preliminary comScore stats. As the impasse with Vevo and UMG drags on, MTV is enjoying this moment of validation, notes DMN, which expects Vevo to counter with its own data. MTV's pact with Vevo holdout Warner Music has given the music-video pioneer a considerable boost. (10/13a)
