Red Red Records Launches

IN THE RED: Grammy winners Val Garay and John Kosh have partnered with attorney George Woolverton to launch Red Red Records. Garay is the producer/engineer who has worked with James Taylor, Elton John, Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Queensryche, Sarah Brightman and Kim Carnes; Kosh is the former creative director for the BeatlesApple Records, the man behind the iconic covers for Abbey Road, Who’s Next, Hotel California and Linda Ronstadt’s Simple Dreams. Woolverton will be the CEO for the label, whose first release will be L.A. singer-songwriter Katrina’s album In the Blink of an Eye, produced by Garay and art directed by Kosh, expected in the first quarter of 2011. Said Garay: “This label/production company hybrid takes its inspiration from the original Asylum Records co-founded in 1971 by David Geffen, built on artistic freedom, which is our guiding principle, too.” Just don't expect a Neil Young-sounding album from Neil Young.
