Lauper Grabs Grammy Nom

GIRL JUST WANTS TO GET NOMINATED: Downtown Records artist Cyndi Lauper’s Memphis Blues, her celebration of the genre's roots, earned the singer her 14th Grammy nomination in the Best Traditional Blues Album category. The release debuted at #1 on the Top Blues Album chart and remained there for 14 weeks. Lauper just kicked off the second leg of her blues-focused tour, which includes several of the legendary musicians who played on the album, like Charlie Musselwhite, Steve Potts, Archie "Hubbie" Turner and Charles "Skip" Pitts.
