Mead upped at Fontana

MEAD & POTATOES: Bryan Mead has been upped to SVP Marketing at Fontana by company President Ron Spaulding. As VP Marketing and Label Relations, Mead was central to the establishment of Fontana International, a partnership between Fontana and UMGD, subsequently spearheaded synergy between UMGI and the Fontana labels, whereby repertoire can be licensed into the U.S. market from any Universal label worldwide. He also initiated deals with such labels as Dangerbird, ESL, Six Degrees, Filter, PIAS, Strange, Kirtland, Spinefarm and Rekords Rekords. Said Spaulding: “Bryan’s experience, fresh approach and innovation have been invaluable assets to our business partners and artists. We could not be more delighted in expanding the playing the field even further for his many talents.” Commented Mead: “The last five years at Fontana have been among the most rewarding and exciting of my professional career.
