DISPATCH FROM DISPATCH: Last we heard from indie stalwarts Dispatch, they were selling out three shows at Madison Square Garden in 2007, raising money for Zimbabwe in the process, after drawing more than 110,000 people to the Hatch Shell in their adopted hometown of Boston in 2004 for a one-off show. The trio, which first formed at Middlebury College in Vermont in the mid-‘90s, have announced a six-date summer tour, their first in more than 10 years, which starts June 4 in Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre and includes dates in Chicago, Berkeley, New Jersey, Atlanta and Boston. The band has already announced that 50 cents from each ticket sale will go to their Amplifying Education campaign to bring attention and improve the state of U. S. schools, Presale starts Jan. 21. The band also plans to return to the studio to record their first new material in a decade. See more info at www.dispatchmusic.com. (1/3a)
