BitTorrent passes 100m users

MORE THAN A LITTLE BIT: BitTorrent said on Monday that it has more than100 million monthly users worldwide, with more than 400k downloads of the applications every day. “BitTorrent creates advanced, innovative technologies to efficiently move large files across the Internet,” is how the San Francisco-based outfit describes its service on BitTorrent.com. “The company's two main products today include the original BitTorrent software and the tiny-but-mighty ”Torrent, which combined boast over 100+ million users.” The press release also pointed out the forging of recent partnerships with content producers to legitimately distribute a number of feature films.
