Katy has best-selling single of 2010

JUST MARRIED BUT FEELING SINGLE: The #1 track of 2010 was Katy Perry’s “California Gurls,” which sold 4.4 million downloads in the U.S., according to SoundScan, and 8 million singles, digital tracks, mobile tracks and videos worldwide.  Between them, “Gurls” and subsequent chart-toppers “Teenage Dream” and “Firework” have racked up 10 million singles sales domestically, while the Teenage Dream album finished the year a split hair from a million at 996.6k units. Fourth single “E.T.” will impact in mid-February. In related news, fans voted Katy Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Online Sensation at Wednesday night’s People’s Choice Awards, and she’ll guest star on an upcoming episode of the CBS series How I Met Your Mother.
