COACHELLA HERE WE COME: After a couple of false starts, and some misinformation, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, taking place Friday-Sunday, April 15-17, was finally announced, with Kings of Leon headlining the first night, Arcade Fire the second, followed by Kanye West and The Strokes on Sunday. Black Keys, Interpol and the Chemical Brothers will back up KOL on Friday; Animal Collective, Mumford & Sons and Bright Eyes are the other big names for Saturday, while Duran Duran, The National and PJ Harvey are the other headliners on closing night for the perennial rock event. Biggest surprise was the absence of French techno gods Daft Punk, who were heavily rumored to be appearing. (1/19a)
