SWEAR ON A BIBLE: What the heck is going on with our pals over at Billboard? First, the music industry bible quietly names Danyel Smith its Editor-in-Chief, then it skips last week’s issue altogether, claiming they are preparing a massive double Grammy-themed special. Meanwhile, when Digital Music NewsPaul Resnikoff tried to subscribe to the trade online at www.magazineagent.com, he was met with the ominous message, “We’re sorry, but subscriptions to Billboard are currently unavailable.” Hey, at least you can still get HITS.
