PIERO FLIES LIKE A BIRD: Industry vet Piero Giramonti, previously SVP Global Marketing for Warner Bros. Records, has been named President of L.A. indie Dangerbird Records, home of Beady Eye, Silversun Pickups, Fitz and the Tantrums and The Limousines. Giramonti will oversee all six divisions of Dangerbird, including the record label, management, music publishing, merchandising, licensing and recording studio. The announcement was made by label CEO/Co-Founder Jeff Castelaz. “Between me , Piero and our GM Matt Solodky, it will be extremely beneficial longterm for the company and our artists…Not to mention increase our beer tab sevenfold.” The S.F.-born Giramonti also served as SVP of Video and DVD Production for Sony Music N.A. as well as SVP Marketing at both Epic and Virgin Records.
