Scenes from Grammy Past

MOURNING BECOMES ELEKTRA: One of the great music industry ideas of all time was pairing Seymour Stein and Sylvia Rhone as Co-Preisedents of Elektra, where they formed one of the oddest couples this side of Oscar and Felix. Here's a Grammy party shot from that mid-'90s halcyon time period during one of the few occasions Stein wasn't wearing his meal on his tuxedo shirt. Pictured long before Richard Parsons sold the Warner Music Group out from under them are (l-r) Stein, Natalie Cole, Rhone, Anita Baker and music group head Terry Semel. (2/24p)
