Indaba Music Hires Rosen

INDABA DABA DOO: Digital Music distributor Indaba Music, the online home for more than 550k musicians around the world, has named music industry veteran J.J. Rosen CEO of the company. Rosen joins Queen Latifah, who was appointed co-chair of its Board of Directors. Indaba Music describes itself as “an online music production platform, digital distributor, and an online marketplace for brands, entertainment companies and labels to source new music and talent. Rosen was previously EVP of Sony Music Entertainment's Commercial Music Group. He joined SME in 2002 when it acquired Run Tones, the mobile entertainment company he co-founded and led as CEO. Before Run Tones, Rosen was co-founder/President of Internet music pioneer N2K, which went public in 1997. Indaba co-founders and previous co-CEOs Matthew Siegel and Dan Zaccagnino will remain as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, respectively. (3/1p)
