HITS Salutes Atlantic

DOUG AND DAVE: THE EARLY YEARS:
Here's a vintage Atlantic Records press release, dated May 19, 1980,  naming Doug Morris President of the label and Dave Glew EVP/GM, though the real power was the ascension of behind-the-scenes money guy Sheldon Vogel to Vice Chairman, a job he would hold until being replaced by Mel Lewinter almost 11 years later.  Nice haircut for Glew, right?
