Iovine Idol

IOVINE'S IDOL: The long-promised Jimmy Iovine Effect on American Idol began in earnest  last night, as Jimmy brought in an all-star group of producers, including Rodney Jerkins, Don Was, Polow Da Don, Ron Fair, "Tricky" Stewart, Rock Mafia and Jim Jonsin to work with the 13 finalists. The result was the first in-season, studio compilation American Idol album on 19 Recordings/IGA, which hit iTunes last night. We're still gathering sales data, and will let you know as soon as we figure out what it means. For the full HITS Idol coverage of last night's episode, click here. (3/10p)
