X MARKS L.A.’S SPOT: Long rumored and now confirmed, Island Def Jam Chairman Antonio L.A. Reid has signed on as a judge with Simon Cowell’s The X Factor. As a result, he has already informed his staff he's leaving after UMG let him out of his deal early to pursue this TV opportunity. Could this mean L.A. will eventually be reunited with Doug Morris at Sony Music, where Cowell has his Syco label? Auditions for the show, which bows this fall on Fox, begin March 27 in L.A.
