DEER TICK: This show was being billed as “Deervana.” There was a rumor that they were foregoing playing any of their music to play an entire set of Nirvana. Needless to say, the show was PACKED at Lustre Pearl. And they were spot-on...everything from “Come As You Are” to “All Apologies.” The crowd loved it. Stage-diving fans AND lead singer John McCauley and a complete smashing of every available instrument (drums included) to end the set. (3/22a)
