Mann NARM keynote

ANTICIPATION: BMG North America President of Creative Billy Mann, who just inked the legendary Carly Simon to a comprehensive admin deal with BMG Chrysalis (great photo, but what’s with the rotten bananas?), will be the featured keynote on opening day (5/11) of the NARM Convention at L.A.’s Century Plaza Hotel. He’ll be interviewed by Tamara Conniff, former chief editor at the bible and founder of TheComet.com. Said Mann: “I performed at NARM back in the ’90s as an artist, and it's a privilege for me to come full circle and reflect on how our industry has changed and how NARM continues to look to create renewed meaning and provide an essential forum to the people and the music.” Commented NARM chief Jim Donio: “Billy Mann’s broad experience as an artist, manager and label executive gives him a unique perspective on our industry and its future, and I look forward to hearing his insights during the opening session.
