RUBIN IT IN: We’ve got a Rick Rubin sighting, people. The Columbia Co-Chairman is teaming up with Entourage, Boardwalk Empire and In Treatment producer Stephen Levinson in a joint venture to start a new record label, Leverage Records. Ommmm, my. Levinson pitched the idea for the label to former Maverick A&R man Michael Goldberg, who introduced him to Rubin, with his American label to help him “find, promote and distribute Leverage releases.” With A&R from Goldberg and Isaac Heymann, the label is looking for new artists to both take advantage of Rubin as a producer and Levinson’s group of acclaimed series. Music submissions can be sent to Heymann at [email protected]. (3/24p)
