Adele Breaks UK Record

RECORD SETTER: Adele has broken the mark for the longest time at #1 in the UK album chart by a female solo artist. The singer's second XL/Columbia album, 21, has now spent 10 consecutive weeks at the top. The previous record was held by Madonna's first greatest hits record, The Immaculate Collection, in 1990. Adele's debut album, 19, remains at #2 in the chart after 107 weeks in the Top 40. 21 is at #3 in the U.S. and poised to go over a million within the next week. (4/5a)
