Goldring Goes to Washington

RIGHT SAID FRED: Former entertainment attorney turned entrepreneur Fred Goldring was part of a contingent from the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities that presented their official report, “Reinvesting in Arts Education: Winning America’s Future Through Creative Schools,” to Barack Obama, his senior policy advisors and the Education Secretary in the West Wing's Roosevelt Room recently. To see the official White House blog on the presentation, go here. Later that night, Goldring was part of Poetry Night where Billy Collins, Aimee Mann, Steve Martin and Common performed for the Chief Executive and First Lady. Above, you can see Goldring at far left shortly before the Comiittee repaired to the Situation Room to view tapes of Osama bin Laden’s assassination. (5/13p)
