Guardian's Music Power 100

WHO’S GOT THE POWER: U.K. paper the Guardian has published its Music Power 100 list for 2011, and it’s led by what they’re referring to as Team Adele, which includes XL Recordings head Richard Russell, manager Jonathan Dickins and publisher Paul Connolly of Universal Music Publishing Group. Sharing the #2 position are UMG heavies Lucian Grainge and David Joseph, while Simon Cowell is #3. Although the list encompasses both sides of the Atlantic, it’s somewhat anglocentric, but here are some names you’ll recognize: #8 Google founders Larry Page, Sergey Brin and Eric Schmidt, #10 Jeff Bezos of Amazon, #11 will.i.am, #12 Lyor Cohen, #13 Mark Zuckerberg, #14 Team Radiohead (including managers Chris Hufford, Bryce Edge and Brian Message), #15 Sony U.K.’s Ged Doherty, #16 UMG International head Max Hole, #18 Lady Gaga, #19 Rob Stringer and #21 Roger Faxon. Click on any name and you’ll go to a blurb on that individual. Click here for the whole enchilada. (5/27a)
