Harcourt joins KCSN

NORTHRIDGE EARTHQUAKE, THE SEQUEL: A day after resigning from KCRW (see item below), Nic Harcourt has moved to another SoCal public radio station—KCSN 88.5 FM. Situated on the Cal State Northridge campus, the station has quietly won rabid fans for its wildly eclectic, way-hip musical programming, but it’s now starting to make some noise. Said KCSN GM Karen Kearns,”Nic's status as a music tastemaker will be agreat addition to our programming.” Added newly appointed PD Sky Daniels (that’s right—Sky Daniels is at KCSN), “It is an honor to have Nic join us as we begin a new journey as the Album Adult Alternative station for Los Angeles. Nic defines music discovery for Los Angeles listeners and will bring that devotion to KCSN. His vision will be an incredible asset to our listeners.” Harcourt stated, “Change is good. I’m truly excited about the opportunity to work with the team at KCSN as they build a dynamic new music format for Los Angeles.” Harcourt will join KCSN as a weekend host in mid-July, and will also contribute daily commentary on new artists of note.
