Topp 10 summer singles

THE GIRLS OF SUMMER: Post music mavens Dan Aquilante and Miriam Furst have also come up with their picks for this summer’s top singles. Their list is led by “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” the latest offering from the resurgent Katy Perry. “The pretty pop temptress owned the dog days of 2008 with ‘I Kissed a Girl,’ and ruled last summer with her—and Snoop Dogg’s—‘California Gurls.’ Now, as the weather gets hotter, so does cutie Katy—she’s done it again with her wild-child party song.” “It’s a combination of perfect timing, songwriting that’s undeniable and an ’80s homage video that’s hilarious,” Fuse TV’s Top 20 Countdown host Alison Hagendorf tells the writers. The Post’s Top 10:

1. Katy Perry, Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”
2. Pitbull f/Ne-Yo, “Give Me Everything Tonight”
3. LMFAO, “Party Rock Anthem”
4. Nicki Minaj, “Super Bass”
5. Jennifer Lopez f/Pitbull, “on the Floor”
6. Coldplay, “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall”
7. Rihanna, S&M”
8. Adele, “Rolling in the Deep”
9. Hot Chelle Rae, “Tonight, Tonight”

You’ll note that six of the 10 picks are from female artists, which is par for the course in the Age of the Dance Diva, especially in the summertime. (7/5a)
