Mariah on X Factor, kinda

THEY BELONG TOGETHER: Mariah Carey will appear on The X Factor, a source close to the show told People, but not as a judge. Instead, she’ll be the “guest” of a judge – that would be Simon Cowell, who’d hinted recently that Carey was interested in joining the show. "Mariah will be a part of X Factor," said the source. "She is confirmed to tape something with Simon Cowell at the judges' homes." The X Factor premieres on Fox next month. (8/24a)
