Merlin Ratings Plummet

MERLIN MAKES RATINGS DISAPPEAR: Former Clear Channel and Tribune exec Randy Michaels’ grand experiment Merlin is off to a shaky start. After acquiring Alternative stations WRXP in N.Y. and WKQX in Chicago, Merlin has seen ratings plummet at both with their new FM News formats. In August PPM, WEMP N.Y. went from a 2.5 under Emmis to a 1.1, while Chicago’s WWWN did even worse, going from a 2.3 to a .5. (9/6p)
