MCR drummer gives his side

CHEMICAL IMBALANCE: Following his dismissal from My Chemical Romance last week for the alleged theft of something that has yet to be revealed, drummer Michael Pedicone has issued a statement through Kerrang.com. Claiming "the actions that led to my dismissal have been twisted and misinterpreted via rumor mongering on the internet,” Pedicone said he’d been having problems with an unnamed member of the band's crew throughout MCR’s latest tour, and made “the poorest decision of my life. Rather than address the issues that I had with the crew member in an open and honest manner, I tried to make them look irresponsible. My intention was to make this person look incompetent. I had no intention of profiting whatsoever. Again, I cannot overstate how poor my judgment was in this situation; it was a tremendous mistake, and it's one I'll regret for years to come. I would have liked an opportunity to share my side of the story with MCR, an opportunity to express my remorse. I was never given one.” Pedicone joined the band from The Bled late last year, prior to the release of their fourth album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. Former Suicide File drummer Jarrod Alexander is filling in while the band continues its U.S. tour with Blink-182. (9/8a)
