Seger puts live LPs on iTunes

AGAINST THE WIND: Longtime iTunes holdout Bob Seger has finally come around, but it’s not like he’s entering the digital age full-on—it’s more like he’s dipping his toe in. Starting yesterday, a pair of LPs from Seger and his Silver Bullet Band, Live Bullet and Nine Tonight, became available in the store, but he’s still not ready to digitize his studio albums, keeping a whole cottage industry of Seger impersonators—including Night Moves, Old Time Rock N Roll, Sam Morrison & Turn the Page and The Original Masters and Classic Rock Heroes—in business. Still unwilling to turn the page, so to speak, are AC/DC, Garth Brooks and Kid Rock, though the latter is now on Spotify. (9/15a)
