Kwatinetz, UMG Join for Music Placement

AS KWAT'S WORLD TURNS: Jeff Kwatinetz and Rich Frank’s The Online Network has partnered with Universal Music Group to license music exclusively from its record and publishing companies to place in new episodes of All My Children and One Life to Live, when both soap operas launch online after completing their run on Disney’s ABC. The licensing deal with UMG allows TOLN to provide recorded music and songs, and artist cross-promotion and integration, giving UMG the ability to tap the audience for two of the market’s most popular series. The agreement also includes an ecommerce integration that will allow fans to purchase the music used in episodes of the soaps, and access other exclusive online content. UMG has previously worked with TOLN to place such artists as One Republic, Mary J. Blige, Puddle of Mudd and Snopp Dogg on episodes of One Life to Live.
