Bush Sets Radio Record

BURNING BUSH: Gavin Rossdale’s resurrected BUSH made rock radio history today by becoming the first band ever to hit #1 at Alternative Radio with a self-released single, according to Mediabase. “The Sound of Winter” appears on the group’s new album The Sea of Memories, which is the first Bush disc to be released via the band’s own imprint, Zuma Rock Records (through an exclusive partnership with eOne Music). The single is also the reunited group’s first #1 hit since 1999’s “The Chemicals Between Us.” Mediabase President/CEO Philippe Generali congratulated the band. “This is a great achievement and we are glad that Mediabase was able to count all the spins BUSH got on radio.
