Dr. Luke is in the Sony House

THE DOCTOR IS IN: Although we’ve been teasing the Dr. Luke-to-Sony stories for awhile, the news became public in the Doug Morris N.Y. Times interview, where he positioned the star maker’s exclusive deal with the company as similar to the ones he forged with Jimmy Iovine at Warner Music Group and then UMG. And while Luke’s Kemosabe was referred to in the story as a “stand-alone” label, the hit producer/songwriter hasn’t yet decided on his infrastructure, but has the option of using the resources of Peter Edge and Tom Corson’s RCA Records which, along with Columbia and Epic, now comprise the foundation of Sony Music.
