Violet Brown Gets Strange

VIOLET’S BLOOMING: Longtime urban music buyer Violet Brown has joined Tech N9ne and Travis O’Guin’s Strange Music as VP Label Development, developing new business opportunities, landing endorsements, partnering with key industry organizations, recruiting artists, handling A&R and working on promotions. The leading indie rap label is home to Brotha Lynch Hung and Krizz Kaliko as well as Kansas City hip-hop icon Tech N9ne. Brown was the Director of Urban Music for Wherehouse Music and continued in that capacity when the company was purchased by Trans World Entertainment. Brown has been an executive producer, manager, writer and A&R consultant in her career. (11/17p)
