Hesse to RTL

HESSE TO RTL BOARD: Former Sony Music digital business guru Thomas Hesse, who returned to Bertlesmann last month, now takes a spot on the board of directors of European broadcaster RTL left vacant by outgoing Bertelsmann CEO Harmut Ostrowski. New CEO Thomas Rabe takes over as head of Bertelsmann on Jan. 1. Hesse had been President of Global Digital Business Music at Sony Music since 2004. Other members of the RTL board of directors include Group CEO Gerhard Zeiler, Board of Directors Chairman Siegfried Luther, EVP Corporate Controlling and Strategy Gunther Gruger, former Luxembourg Prime Minister Jacques Santer, Nestle CFO James Singh and Martin Taylor, Chairman of Swiss agrochemical group Syngenta.
