INGROOVES GEARS UP: S.F.-based INgrooves, which recently scored a #1 album with its digital distribution of Mac Miller’s Blue Slide Park for Pittsburgh-based Rostrum Records, has made some upgrades to the client console used by its label partners, including UMG, Fat Possum and Dualtone. Among the new features are the ability to choose retailer ad distribution options to over 200 territories, automatically pay U.S. mechanical royalties and analyze sales trends from retailers across product types, territories and retailers. The new console also allows label partners to access third-party services at preferred rates, including artist services companies ReverbNation and Topspin, analytics company Next Big Sound, crowdsourced design service Creative Allies and mobile app developer Mobile Roadie. INgrooves handles distribution to over 400 online and mobile retailers. (12/13a)
