Coldplay tour details

COLDPLAY, HOT TICKET: The rest of the tickets for Coldplay’s European and North American tours went on-sale over the weekend, and demand was strong, with “huge counts” across the board, a real coup for band manager Dave Holmes and Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino, who has worked with the band since his days in London. The North American shows begin in Canada in Edmonton April 17, with a pair of dates scheduled for Hollywood Bowl on May 1-2, and end in St. Paul, MN, on Aug. 8. The European leg of the tour, which includes a number of stadium dates, began Dec. 14 in Paris and concludes with a New Year’s Eve gig in Abu Dhabi. The tour is in support of the group’s current Capitol album, Mylo Xyloto. (12/19a)
