CALL HIM DR CLINTON: Funkmeister General George Clinton was awarded an honorary doctor of music degree by the Berklee College of Music, then celebrated with a performance featuring student musicians on "Testify," "Give Up the Funk" and "One Nation Under a Groove" (below). Clinton's longtime horn players Bennie Cowan and Greg Thomas joined him on stage for the sold-out show. The concert was the culmination of Clinton's four-day residency at Berklee this week. In the photo at left, Clinton asks Berklee Provost Larry Simpson (l) and President Roger Brown (r) if he can use his degree to write prescriptions for medical marijuana. Who's got the funk, indeed.
