Kudler Joins Epic

HEATH TO THE BEAT: Heath Kudler is named SVP and Head of Business & Legal Affairs for Epic Records, reporting to label GM/CFO Lynn Hazan. In this role, his responsibilities include negotiating deals and overseeing all aspects of business activities, as well as serving as L.A. Reid’s tailor. “It is an absolute honor and privilege to be working with L.A., one of the most talented executives and a legend in the music industry,” said Kudler. “I am very excited to be a part of the incredible team at Epic Records, and I look forward to achieving great success with Lynn.” Heath previously served as SVP Business & Legal Affairs for Reid at Island Def Jam Music Group. He spent 15 years at Universal after becoming a legal consultant for Mercury Records, following his graduation from Brooklyn Law School. (2/28p)
