Womack Album on XL

VIRAL VIDEO OF THE DAY: Check out the audio clip for “Please Forgive My Heart,” the first single from Bobby Womack’s upcoming The Bravest Man in the Universe, which hits retail June 12 on XL Recordings, home of, among others, Adele. The disc was produced by the Gorillaz’s Damon Albairn and Richard Russell in the former’s Studio 13 in London and N.Y.’s Manhattan Center last November and December. It's Womack's first album of original material since 1994's Resurrection. He was inducted into the Rock and Roill Hall of Fame in 2009. (3/8p)
