FIELD OF DREAMS: Interscope co-founder Ted Field is getting back into the record biz. The N.Y. Daily News reports the Chicago-born retail store mogul is putting a “new, big record label into play” that will be backed by Sony Music and Doug Morris, who brought Interscope into the fold while at UMG after it left WMG. The report says the label has been staffing up "for a few months" and that Sony "is not only helping to bankroll the project, but will distribute." (3/19p)
