Vector's a Victor in Lottery

VECTOR’S A LOTTERY VICTOR: While we at HITS tear up our now-worthless Powerball lottery tickets, the folks at Vector Management, including Ken Levitan and Jim Stabile, are counting up their winnings. The office earned $250k from one of the 400 tickets they bought, according to the firm's Nick Stern, one of 17 second-place winning tickets acquired in N.Y. The prize will be split 39 ways, with Gary Haber handling the distribution, amounting, after taxes and fees, to approximately $3,000 apiece. Certainly not eff-you money, but it is enough to make the investment worthwhile, which is a lot more than we can say about the music business. Of course, it all happened on April 1, which means we fell for it hook, line and sinker. (4/2a)
