LIL WAYNE RE-UPS WITH CASH MONEY: The operative term here is “Cash Money.” Hip-hop superstar Lil Wayne has signed what sources are calling a four-album, $150 million-plus deal, which also includes his Young Money imprint, to remain with Cash Money, the only label he’s ever known: The rap icon has been associated with the New Orleans company founded by brothers Ronald “Slim” Williams and Bryan “Bird” Williams since he was 11 years old. It’s a historic, unprecedented deal for an indie label. “We are proud to acknowledge the success we’ve had together with one of the most talented artists and music executives ever in Lil Wayne,” said the Williams brothers in announcing the pact. “This will keep him as part of the Cash Money family for years to come.” Added Wayne: “I’ve been with Cash Money since the very beginning of my career, so if you’re looking for integrity, I am the definition. If you’re looking for a person that’s going to stay down, I am the definition. If you’re looking for loyalty, I am just that. I’ve ridden out the ups and downs with my team and I’m going to continue to ride it out with my team.” Young Money’s roster includes recent chart-toppers Nicki Minaj and Drake. (5/1p)
